We live in a world where the majority of information and communication travels magically through the internet. The internet has provided a new form of a platform that aids as a catalyst for innovation. With the launch of the internet, innovators have seized the opportunity to revolutionize the way humans connect with one another. Social Media triumphs at the top of this list. There are currently 2.13 billion users on Facebook. That is about 30% of the world’s population. Mankind has never experienced an era quite like this one. The power of connectivity at our fingertips has lead to a controversial debate. Experts from multiple viewpoints debate their opinions when relating to this topic. There is evidence that supports both sides of the debate. On one side of the equation, experts will argue how the easy access to social media and other websites has led to addiction to the internet  and worse social skills as a society. And on the other hand, experts will argue the benefits of social connection through the internet. The internet has opened up possibilities for even deeper connections with the likes of online dating websites. This hotly debated topic still lacks crucial questions that need to be answered to truly decide if the internet is beneficial or detrimental.
