Dr. Newport even goes further and argues that he is happier because he is not involved with social media. He believes that social media is constantly grabbing your attention and in doing so affects your work output. In conclusion damages your professional success. The battle between social media and balancing work results in people having a declined work performance and hinders their creativity. Dr. Newport is strongly against social media use. He tries to convince people to stop using social media and believes that everyone can not only benefit from less hours spent on social media but also live happier lives.
