CONCLUSION
After all is said and done, the internet has advanced society and shifted popular trends to online platforms. In many scenarios the internet has benefited society with such applications like online dating, networking, and social media.
All of these innovations had the intention to provide alternative solutions to missing areas in people’s lives. Whether that was through online dating to find a soulmate or social media to connect with a relative who lives in another country, the focus of these innovations were to better the lives of the users.
With all the positives, people are heavily attracted to these internet features. The problem can be found with addictive use and heavy reliance on feedback and interaction.
These forms of communication can lead to addiction if used improperly/over usage. But if people find the self control to monitor their time spent on social media and maintain control over the social urges, people will be able to safely experience the benefits from internet connectivity.

The solution that I believe would work is to encourage social media websites to change their focus. Instead of focusing on feedback from other users, the websites should encourage individuals to post about their lives. With less emphasis on peer feedback, the platforms should be a more enjoyable place for everyone.
In conclusion, the internet is here to stay. It will only continue to evolve and people will continue to find new ways to use it. There is a lot of uncertainty of how the internet will change in the future, but there is one thing certain, and that is the internet will be remembered as one of the greatest evolutions in human history.
